Back on Track

So remember last week when I posted about how I was hustling and really wanted to keep it going?

Well, I didn’t.  In fact, my ambition & productivity basically came to a full stop while I finished reading my overdue library book (A Dance With Dragons, the latest book in George R.R. Martin‘s series A Song of Ice and Fire), which took most of Wednesday through Friday.

And I’m kind of okay with that.

The truth is, I think I needed some downtime last week.  All my excitement & motivation were merely hiding the fact that I was really exhausted & drained.  I had taken some time off from working out, my diet was terrible, and my sleep restless.

But today I’m getting back on track!

  • I slept well last night
  • I started off this morning with my heavy-duty protein shake (whole milk, protein powder & almond butter — 700 kcals!), and my multivitamin +  magnesium/calcium supplement.
  • I’m going back to the gym today to restart my body-weight workouts (following the 7 Weeks to Getting Ripped program).
  • As soon as I’m finished writing I’ll get out my weekly planner and write down my important to-do’s for the week.

It’s going to be a busy week — I can already feel it.  I’ve got so many ideas & projects that I’m eager to spend time on, plus plenty of mundane things that just need to get done (laundry, dishes, cleaning off my desk [again]).  I’ll post a check-in later in the week to let you know how things are going!
